Walt Disney World Resort hotels remove “Do Not Disturb” signs from rooms

A few Walt Disney World Resort hotels are testing out a new Housekeeping Policy. This means guests staying at certain Walt Disney World Resorts are no longer be able to hang a “Do Not Disturb” sign outside their door.

These have now been changed to a “Room Occupied” sign which reads:

“The Disney Resort hotel and its staff reserve the right to enter your room, even when this sign is displayed, for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose. The Disney Resort Hotel staff will knock and announce their presence before entering.”

The hotels which have so far been affected are the Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower.

Disney will be looking at extending the new Housekeeping Policy to other resorts once this testing period has been evaluated.
