Update on Aquatica’s new Ray Rush attraction opening soon

The brand new Ray Rush attraction at Aquatica is starting to take shape.Over the past several weeks, crews have been installing the bright blue and green slide pieces and have already completed several tube sections, some of which measure 10 feet in diameter. The giant manta ray shaped half-pipe is now visible.

The iconic giant sphere that Ray Rush riders will slide through has been lifted into position. This piece weighs over 12,000 pounds and will be the first thing guests will see when they enter Aquatica.

Ray Rush will offer guests three ways to slide, splash and soar like never before on this new raft ride. First, water jets launch the raft from zero to awesome in just seconds. The adventure takes a twisting turn as the raft spins inside a colossal water sphere. Finally, dive into the giant manta wings, swooping up and down a different path each time.

Construction of the ride is nearing completion and will be ready for guests to ride this spring, the opening date will be released in the next few weeks.
