Wine Bar George at Disney Springs has only been open a short time but has already added a few new items to the lunch menu. The first is a Chicken Salad Sandwich with roasted tomatoes and brioche and paired with Giocato, Pino Grigio. The second sandwich is a BLT + C with bacon, lettuce, tomato, brioche, and a four-cheese sauce paired with Bodegas Borsao, Garnacha. Both sandwiches are served with house-made chips. You can also get Steak Frites, fries topped with skirt steak and caramelized onion aïoli, and it’s paired with Angelini Paolo, Grignolino.
Also in Disney Springs at Enzo’s Hideaway, a new Sunday Supper is now on the menu. A hearty spread of cured meats, cheeses, pasta, entrees, and sweets. Available each Sunday, this dinner menu will replace the regular menu. Guests can even bring their own bottle wine with no additional corkage fee. This feast is $45 a person and $19 for children nine and under (not including tax or gratuity).
Disney’s Mickey Check program has a new name. Disney Check can now be found on the kid’s menus at Walt Disney World. This program allows families to identify healthier food options with foods and recipes that meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines.
Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been open less than a month but a menu item at a restaurant there has already disappeared from the menu. Over at the Quick Service location, Woody’s Lunch Box, the Monte Cristo sandwich is no longer on the menu. The classic grilled sandwich with layers of ham, turkey, Swiss, and raspberry jam wasn’t proving popular with guests.
