A few months ago it was announced a memorial statue would be erected at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort in memory of Lane Thomas Graves.

It was a year ago last June that toddler Lane Thomas Graves died following an alligator attack at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

This week the new memorial statue was unveiled, it features a lighthouse with a plaque bearing the name of the foundation founded in Lane’s name and says “A Beacon of Hope, A Light of Love.”

The Lane Thomas Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support for non-medical expenses to families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants at Omaha healthcare facilities.
