Opening in late 2017, Master Sommelier George Miliotes will bring his expertise to the eponymous bar that will feature wines from famed growing regions in the United States and abroad – more than 100 selections by the bottle and glass.
Miliotes describes Wine Bar George as a “comfortable-yet-lively environment that’s reminiscent of a renovated winery.” The design for the 6,000-square-foot space features wood ceilings, concrete floors, warm lighting and a welcoming atmosphere.
“Guests will experience a feel reminiscent of the ‘Old World’ as if they are on the bottom floor of a gravity-flow winery surrounded by their best friends,” explains Miliotes. The space includes a center bar on the first floor, seating for groups of all sizes and chalkboards displaying menu details.
Guests can order a glass of wine on tap at the bar, share a communal table for cheese and wine pairings, or taste through a flight of world-class Pinot Noir with a few sharable bites. “We’ll offer a number of ways to experience and explore wine,” says Miliotes.
Shareable plates will be served including cheese and charcuterie that complement the wines, with local, seasonal features.
